Aloha - Greeting and Farewell; has multiple meanings
Haole - Foreigner/White person; Lit. w/out breath
Hula - Native Hawaiian Dance, usually tells a story
Kama'aina - Native born or old timer
Kane - Man
Kapu - Forbidden
Keiki - Child
Komo mai - Come in
Lanai - Veranda, open porch
Lei - Necklace of flowers
Luau - Traditional Hawaiian Feast
Mahalo - Thank you
Makai - Toward the sea - Direction
Mauka - Toward the mountain - Direction
Mele Kalikimaka - Merry Christmas
Pali - Cliffs
Poi - Staple food made from Taro root
Wahine - Woman
